yeah, what kind of stoooopid question is this? it came out in Pengajian Am 1 this morning.
nevertheless, with that, ends my mid-term exams (: and i will be free for the next two weeks. a bit short compared to jamie and pearly who have 4 months and 3 months break each, but 2 weeks is not bad.

the answer she gave is 1 hour and 30 minutes. but it totally doesn't make sense! too many variables not mentioned. i object!
no offense to the person that set the question, i read like the first two lines and went blur dy. i am so not a maths and science person....and why lar u study these sort of things????

Joey - apparently cos since 1 person = 10 mins and there are 3 people, therefore it's 30 mins. and the one hour is there to confuse us.
well, i think the question fulfilled its purpose of confusing us.

since they all only need 30 minutes to come out simultaneously (i'm assuming its only 1 counter)..
so the only multiple of 30 minutes is 1 hour & 30 minutes. given that all 3 of them must go to the counter 3 times/person.
hence, since a,b & d isn't the multiple of 30 minutes, they're wrong.
anyways. this is only true if all 3 of them are to go to the counter the same amount of times lah. if not, my answer would be

ryan, that is so lame. and that answer is only based on the assumption that they all go to the same counter. but the question states that all counterS open at exactly 8am. so why can't Ali, Ahmad and Raju go to a different counter each????
